Joe Seamons
I started my career at the Cortez Hills Underground Mine in Nevada working for Barrick. At Cortez I worked as a dispatch engineer, project engineer, and short-range planning engineer. I accepted a promotion to work at Turquoise Ridge Underground Mine working for Barrick. At Turquoise Ridge I started as an underground blaster on crew. Later I was the long-range planning engineer, ventilation engineer and Senior Engineer. I lead a successful and awesome team of engineers at Turquoise Ridge to create some amazing engineering designs and schedules. Later I started consulting as a mining engineer. As a consultant, I did some exceptional underground engineering work in Ghana, Peru, Nevada, and Oregon. I am a Deswik power user and I have experience in underground cut & fill, stoping, and sublevel caving. I obtained a degree from the University of Utah in Mining Engineering and I am a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada. I have 4 wonderful kids and have been happily married for a decade. I enjoy fishing, rollerblading, and going on adventurous bike rides with my kids.
